Kappa Vayichathu

Ingredients
Tapioca/Kappa - 1 no
Salt - 2 tsp
Grated coconut - 4 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1/2 tsp
Garlic pods - 2 nos
Small onions(Kunjulli) - 3 nos
Dry red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 2 nos
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves - A few
Oil - As reqd

Method of Preparation

1)Heat some water in a small vessel. Add the tapioca pieces. When the pieces are half boiled, add salt and mix well. Cook till the pieces have become soft. Drain off excess water. Smash the cooked tapioca pieces well. Grind together grated coconut, cumin seeds, garlic pods and turmeric
powder. Add the ground paste to tapioca and mix well on low flame. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds. Add small onions, red chilly and curry leaves. Saute till small onions are brown in colour. Add this seasoning to tapioca and mix well on low flame.
Switch off the flame.
