Ingredients
Meat balls:-
Minced Beef - 2 cups
Mashed potato - 1/2 cup
Onion(finely chopped) - 1/2 cup
Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 piece
Curry leaves (finely chopped) - 1 sprig
Green chillies(chopped) - 2 nos
Salt - As required
Egg - 1 no
Bread crumbs - As required
For curry:-
Onion - 1 cup
Green chillies (split) - 2 nos
Ginger (chopped) - 1 piece
Cinnamon(Karugapatta) - 1" piece
Cloves(Grambu) - 5 nos
Cardamom(Elakka) - 4 nos
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper - 1/2 tsp
Potato(sliced) - 1/4 cup
Coconut - 1 no (extract reqd milk from it)
Oil - As required
Method Of Preparation
For making meat balls:-
1)Heat oil in a pan.
2)Add chopped onion, green chilly, ginger and pepper.
3)Add minced beef, mashed potato and enough salt.
4)Make small meat balls dip in beated egg, roll over bread crumps and fry it in oil.
For making curry:-
1)Heat oil and add spices.
2)Saute onion, green chilly, ginger.
3)Add potato.
4)Add coconut milk(thin) and allow to boil.
5)Add salt.
6)Add meat balls and mix well.
7)After 2 mins, add thick coconut milk.
8)Before it starts to boil, take off from heat.

Beef Ulathiyathu
Ingredients
Beef - 1 kg
Onions - 4 nos
Ginger(chopped) - 1/4 tbsp
Garlic(chopped) - 1/4 tbsp
Coconut flakes - 1/4 cup
Chilly powder - 2 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Tomato sauce - 1 tsp
Soya sauce - 1 tsp
Salt - As required
Oil - As reqd

Method of Preparation
1)Clean and cut the beef into small pieces.
2)Mix all the ingredients.
3)Pressure cook the beef till it becomes tender.
4)Heat oil in a pan or kadai.
5)Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and onion and fry well.
6)Add tomato sauce, soya sauce, pepper powder and saute well.
7)Put the cooked beef into it and saute well till it turns to brown colour.

Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Garlic pods - 8 nos
Tomatoes(chopped) - 2 nos
Cinnamon(Patta) - 1" piece
Cloves(Grambu) - 5 nos
Cardamom(Elakka) - 5 nos
Fennel(Perinjeerakam) - 4 tsp
Black peppercorns(Kurumulaku) - 20 nos
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
For seasoning:
Onions(chopped) - 1 no
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Coconut(chopped) -1 cup
Curry leaves - 4 sprigs
Coconut oil - 1 cup
Method of Preparation

fennel seeds.
2)Grind the above 4 spices to a masala.
3)Cook the beef with the ground masala & salt in a pressure cooker till
cooked(appr. 15 min)
4)Heat the oil in a pan.
5)Splutter mustard seeds.
6)Add the chopped onions & saute.
7)Add the coconut pieces & curry leaves till light brown.
8)Add the meat & cook till the gravy is dry & dark brown.
